It is the vision of NMNW to mainstream IMpower strategies globally and end the fallacies and myths surrounding a woman or child’s ability to prevail in an assault. We accomplish this by creating a model safety-intervention program, then study, refine, manage and replicate it in areas of the world with a high incidence of sexual assault. We support all rape and violence prevention efforts but in our opinion, women and children can’t wait for laws to be written, passed and enforced. They can’t wait for countries to make peace, for soldiers to leave and for police to get on board. Women and children need help now and it is our goal to put these profoundly effective self-protection strategies into their very capable hands. Our research and testimonials prove that once they are thus empowered, women and children repeatedly use this resource not only to manage day to day conflict but to prevail in sexual assault.
The third is to bring these skills anywhere in the world where they are needed and to do so in a timely and sustainable manner.
